Public Speaking Programs
The Public Speaking Program is designed to help students find their voice and build the confidence to express themselves clearly, persuasively, and creatively in both English and Chinese. Through a blend of structured training and engaging activities, students develop the essential skills needed for leadership, academic success, and real-world communication.
Transforming Learning Experiences
Individual Speaking
Students build confidence and eloquence through structured speech training in both English and Chinese. From delivering formal English speeches to inspiring TED-style talks, they learn how to organize ideas clearly, use storytelling techniques to engage audiences, and develop strong stage presence. This component emphasizes voice projection, body language, and persuasive communication, ensuring students can express themselves with clarity and impact in academic, social, and professional settings.
Group Debate
Through exposure to World Schools debate and Chinese debate formats, students strengthen critical thinking, logic, and teamwork. They practice research, evidence-based argumentation, and rebuttal strategies while learning to collaborate under pressure. Debate sessions not only enhance persuasive speaking, but also teach students to consider multiple perspectives, respond respectfully, and construct well-reasoned arguments—skills essential for leadership and problem-solving in today’s interconnected world.
Impromptu Speech
This module challenges students to think on their feet and respond with creativity and logic. Activities such as storytelling, roleplay, and quick-response prompts help students practice adaptability, spontaneity, and confidence when speaking without preparation. These exercises prepare them to handle interviews, class discussions, and real-life scenarios where effective communication is key, empowering them to stay calm, structured, and persuasive even under time pressure.
Unleash Confidence, Inspire Voices
The ability to speak with confidence and clarity opens doors to leadership and success. Our Public Speaking Program empowers students to master communication in both English and Chinese through speeches, debates, and impromptu speaking. With professional training and supportive feedback, they learn to think critically, express themselves persuasively, and inspire any audience. More than a skill, it is a foundation for lifelong growth and confidence.
